Dr. Sites attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. and was granted early admission to Salus University (formerly known as Pennsylvania College of Optometry) where she received her bachelors degree in visual science and her Doctorate of Optometry in 1990. She completed a residency in ocular eye disease at Capital Eye Consultants in Fairfax, VA. Dr. Sites is a member of both the Connecticut Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She provides primary eye examinations for both adults and children. She founded Durham Family Eye Care in 2007 and the practice has been growing ever since with dedication to having the most recent technology to serve her patients. Dr. Sites is certified to practice Advanced Care Optometry, which includes treatment and management of red eyes, glaucoma, and foreign body removals. As a commitment to being a lifelong learner she is a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry. She and her husband, Dr. Philip Perrino (who heads Royal Vision Associates in New Haven) are most proud of their three children.

When Dr. Sites is not at work she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring local vineyards with friends.
